I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Arts degree from Azusa Pacific University. I have eight years of experience working in diverse settings, including rehab facilities, custody-to-community programs, and child protective services. In 2021, I established my private practice in La Mesa, which has since grown into a group practice with two locations.
My journey in this field began with a strong passion for supporting individuals and families affected by addiction. This passion has expanded to include helping individuals navigate all of life’s challenges and supporting other professionals in the mental health field.
I believe in a client-centered approach, where you are recognized as the expert in your own life. My role is to collaboratively support you on your path toward healing and becoming your best self. I am trained in EMDR, OCD, and Trauma-Focused CBT, which allows me to effectively treat anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues by teaching coping skills and fostering self-esteem and resilience. I particularly enjoy working with clients facing issues related to adult children of alcoholic parents and/or emotionally immature parents, adverse childhood traumas, and relationship difficulties, while assisting them in building self-esteem and resilience.
I look forward to connecting with you.

In our diverse and ever-changing world, individuals from various backgrounds face unique challenges that can impact their mental health and well-being. My ideal client is someone who recognizes their need for change—whether they’re dealing with gender/sexuality conflict, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or navigating identity and self-esteem challenges. Hi, I’m Ashlyn, an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor and bilingual therapist (English and Spanish) who’s passionate about helping children, teens, and adults navigate their worlds with creativity and collaboration to find calm, confidence, and connection in their lives. I primarily work with individuals seeking therapeutic services for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bereavement, and life transitions.
As a first generation Mexican-American, my practice is rooted in empathy and cultural awareness. I consistently work to maintain an inclusive and affirming space where clients from all cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations can feel understood and empowered to grow and heal.

In our sessions, you’ll find a space that’s warm, open, and free of judgment. I often draw from multiple modalities including: CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, Art, and Play Therapy, blending structure with creativity to meet you right where you are at any age or stage in life. Together, we’ll explore the challenges you’ve been facing and build tools to help you manage life in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.
